Training seminar on "National currency - national pride"

On October 30 of the current year, at the State Unitary Enterprise “Savings Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan “Amonatbonk” a training seminar on "National currency - national pride" dedicated to the day of the introduction of the national currency - somani into circulation was held with the participation of Rakhimzoda Sh.M, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, Director of the Institute of Economics and Demography of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan.
The seminar was opened by Rizvonzoda F.Z. who stressed that the national currency -somani, along with the national flag, symbol and anthem, is considered one of the national sanctities and the main symbols of Tajik statehood and is one of the main pillars of independence and the most important symbols of the state's independence.
Then Rahimzoda Sh.M, Doctor of Economics, Professor delivered a speech and noted that it was with the direct initiative and support of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon, that the Tajik nation got its own national currency.
It was recalled that according with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan dated October 26, 2000 "On introducing the national currency somoni into circulation” the new unit of national currency "Somoni", named after the Founder of the first centralized Tajik state – Ismoili Somoni (849-907), in denominations of 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 somoni and a small unit in denominations of 1, 5, 20, 50 dirams were put into circulation through the National Bank of Tajikistan.
They include pictures of the great figures of the past and present of the Tajik people, as well as pictures of the architectural and historical monuments of Tajikistan. Worth mentioning that national currency, issued by one of the most prestigious German companies has all security elements that make it impossible to fake it.
The seminar was finished after question and answer session.
